LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY INDEX EXAMINATION (LPI)
Revised December 4, 2006
All applicants are responsible for arranging to take this examination, which is administered through the University of British Columbia, at their own expense.
This is a requirement separate from our intake exam.
For more information on the LPI examination, dates and locations please refer to the website at http://www.ares.ubc.ca/LPI/index.html. Make your arrangements early as registrations are required to be made at least one week before the exam date and seating is limited. There are usually only one or two sittings per month. We strongly encourage applicants to obtain the study material. A Level 5 is required to continue in our process.
***APPLICANTS MUST INSERT THE “RESULTS DISTRIBUTION CODE” 1135_ ON THE COVER OF THE LPI EXAM BOOKLET OR WE WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THEIR SCORE. ***
NOTE: LPI scores are not available until three weeks after the test date. To ensure continued eligibility in the selection process, applicants must take this examination as early as possible. It is solely the applicant’s responsibility to ensure results are available before Port Moody Police Department’s deadline.
