POLICE RESPOND TO YOUTH STABBING

FILE: 2025-1710 – On Saturday, April 26, 2025, just before 6 p.m., Port Moody Police frontline officers were called to the 3000 block of Murray Street for a report of a stabbing. Upon attendance, officers located a male youth with non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital, treated, and later released.

Officers located the suspect nearby – also a male youth – fleeing from the area. He was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

The matter remains under investigation at this time. It is unclear what motivated the incident or the relationship between the parties, if any. Anyone with information who has yet to speak with our investigators is asked to call us at 604-461-3456.
