THREE SUSPECTS CAUGHT CLIMBING TOWER CRANE

FILE: 2026-2017
A trio of teenage boys were arrested Thursday evening after allegedly climbing a tower crane.
On May 7, 2026 just before 11 p.m., frontline officers were called to a fully fenced construction site in the 2300 block of St Johns Street for a report of trespassers who were actively climbing a tower crane.
Officers arrived within several minutes and observed the suspects who had ascended the crane. The trio surrendered and were arrested without incident – later released to guardians as investigators consider charge recommendation.
“It should go without saying, these stunts are not only illegal but dangerous,” states Constable Sam Zacharias, adding that “construction sites like this one are live monitored around-the-clock with video and motion sensors – police will always be called in instances of trespassers.”
